| Birla Global Finance Limited (BGFL) is a member of the Aditya Birla Group, which is a multinational group of companies, managed under the overall direction of Mr Kumar Mangalam Birla. Operations of the group extend beyond India to Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and Egypt, with a world-wide combined turnover of US $4 billion. BGFL, the flagship of the group's financial services through its network of offices spread all over India, is active in asset based financing for both corporate and retail segments. It is also active in the retail distribution of financial products and treasury advice. The investment banking arm assists companies in raising both debt and equity finance as well as providing corporate advisory services. In partnership with the Sun Life Assurance of Canada, BGFL formed an asset management company to float and manage mutual funds.
